Couple who sunk £300,000 life savings into charming coach house that featured in BBC's Escape to the Country say they can't live in it or sell it after 'neighbour from hell' cut off power supply

A couple who sunk their life savings into renovating a historic £300,000 coach house featured on Escape To The Country have been left without electricity after an angry neighbour cut their power supply. Kevin and Julia Sheppard bought the building in central Salisbury 15 years ago before they started major renovation on the property, building a modern replica in its place. But they say that over the last year they have been plunged into a nightmare after their neighbour, who owns the freehold to the land their property was built on, cut off their access to power. This not only made it impossible to live there, but also stopped them from selling up so they can move on.

The Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed the future Queen and King of Sweden to Windsor Castle this morning, with Kate looking chic in a £1,350 Bespoke Emilia Wickstead dress midi dress. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden added a festive touch in a cheerful red jacket, as she and her husband Crown Prince Daniel posed with their British counterparts. The foursome are set to attend the Royal Variety performance in London

JANET STREET-PORTER: Is it REALLY racist to wonder what colour a child might be? After Scobie’s ludicrous claims, now Beyonce has fallen victim to the hate mob – but why can’t we judge people by their talent, not their skin?

JANET STREET-PORTER: For Beyonce, nothing is left to chance, she is a marketing genius, an icon and inspiration to girls of all colours and backgrounds. But in the modern world, whatever skin colour you have - whether by birth or design using makeup - there's a big chance you will offend someone if you dare to dress it up. Soon, social media was teeming with complaints that the singer had somehow betrayed her heritage, lightened her skin and 'wanted to be white'. Worse, was she a black version of Elsa from Disney's Frozen?

'They should be ashamed of themselves': Rolling Stone is blasted for brutal 'good riddance' headline celebrating Henry Kissinger's death - as other lefties dance on his grave

The left-leaning outlet published a skewering obituary by Spencer Ackerman last night in which they said Kissinger's legacy should only be his 'confirmed kills'. 'Henry Kissinger, War Criminal Beloved by America's Ruling Class, Finally Dies,' read the headline. Ackerman compared Kissinger to domestic terrorist Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber who killed 168 people, and said: 'The infamy of Nixon's foreign-policy architect sits, eternally, beside that of history's worst mass murderers. A deeper shame attaches to the country that celebrates him.'
